Model Products Corporation was a subsidiary of General Mills from 1970 to 1973 and produced pre-constructed promotional models and plastic scale model kits popular in the 1960s and 1970s.
In 1965, Model Products Corporation debuted their first model kit, a 64 Chevy Corvette Stingray at 1:25 scale. Unlike competing model kit manufacturers who produced varying sizes, such as Revell or Airfix, MPC focused on designing model pickups and cars of this particular scale.
