False advertising October 27, 2017
Reviewer: Jeffrey Littell from Coatesville, PA United States
I built this 1975 Datsun kit back in the mid 70’s when it was first issued, so I was excited to see its reissue. I carefully read the description which stated, “super wide tires and deep dish wheels.”  It also stated  that some parts had been retooled.   I was disappointed when I opened the box to find the parts retooled were the tires and wheels.  Chincy shallow dish wheels and skinny tires.  Nothing like the picture or description on the box.  Some people, like myself, purchase these reissued kits because of the quality of the parts.  Wheels and tires are a important part if the kit, not just “some parts have been retooled.”  If the description indicated the wheels and tires had been retooled, I would most likely not purchased the kits.  So, buyer beware.  A kit may have important parts substitute for less desirable ones.  I have been a customer of auto world since the 70’s. Never any issues.  I will still be a customer.  Just very cautious with the model kits.

While this is old tooling, its great to have this kit reissued again,  for me,  keep in mind this is old tooling from 70's so its not going as nice as current tooling is

Great old kit love seeing it come back But what happened to the headlight details. They are smooth with no headlight engraving
